For the third consecutive year Irritec receives the Deloitte award reserved for the Italian “Best Managed Companies”.
Irritec was awarded by Deloitte as a company that stood out for “strategy, skills and innovation, commitment and corporate culture, governance and performance, internationalization and sustainability among those companies that were awarded as part of the Deloitte initiative supported by ALTIS University Cattolica, by ELITE – the London Stock Exchange Group project that supports the development and growth of high-potential companies – and by Confindustria ”.
The Sicilian company has been able to face the Covid-19 emergency with resilience, supporting the agri-food supply chain and continuing to provide the irrigation systems that are essential for agriculture. It has made its technology and know-how available for community support projects, such as the collaboration with the University of Messina for the transformation of the snorkeling mask into a hospital C-PAP.
The jury, composed of Professor Lorenzo Ornaghi, Honorary President of the High School of Economics and International Relations (ASERI) and university professor, former rector of the Catholic University and former Minister of the Italian Republic, by Eng. Maurizio Costa, Director of the Board of important Italian groups with consolidated managerial experience and by Dr. Francesca Brunori, director of the Credit and Finance Area of Confindustria, has selected Irritec among the 59 winners.
«This recognition – underlines Giulia Giuffrè, Marketing Director of the Irritec group – is a stimulus to continue improving. Today more than ever it is important to create new spaces to share know-how and technologies for the good of all. At Irritec we work every day to promote good practices of sustainable irrigation in agriculture, through proper management and optimization of the use of water and energy. Ours is a commitment that we share in the company, with customers and partners, as a fundamental element of our culture and sustainability ».
The Irritec Group, born in Sicily in 1974, is among the world leaders in smart irrigation. Irritec’s mission is to improve the efficiency of irrigation in agriculture and gardening, reducing the environmental impact. Water scarcity and growing food demand all over the world require the use of drip irrigation, of which Irritec is a global reference point. Irritec designs, manufactures and distributes products and complete systems for irrigation in the open field, in greenhouses and for the residential sector. With 12 plants and about 800 employees, Irritec has production and commercial sites in Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, the United States, Algeria, Germany and Chile. In its commitment to eco-sustainability, the company has launched the Green Fields project, which encourages farmers to properly dispose of plastic products after use, ensuring a second life. An initiative that has made Irritec an excellence of the circular economy. Innovation and sustainability have earned numerous international awards to a company that caters to growers, distributors and retailers, always aiming for maximum results while preserving the most precious asset on the planet, water.
